"...we need to see and hear the best that is being done in the world today. We need to raise our standards in the visual arts by showing the best art of the past, as well as what is being produced today."

During the past year, we have all witnessed the ongoing and debilitating effects of a national financial crisis. The faltering economy has significantly impacted individuals, businesses and corporations as well as non-profit educational and cultural organizations such as the Cameron Art Museum (CAM).
Cameron Art Museum is the only art museum in southeastern North Carolina, representing the dedicated, cumulative efforts of staff, volunteers, and community-minded citizens who have worked for nearly 50 years to build and sustain a vibrant and exceptional art museum in this region.
Building upon the vision and commitment of past supporters, the current Board of Directors and staff are equally dedicated as we move the Museum forward. It is important that we continue to provide high quality, stimulating exhibitions along with dynamic public programs, unique cultural events and excellence in educational opportunities in the visual and performing arts. We greatly value the role of the Museum as a cultural gathering place where art, nature and history can intersect to inspire and serve our community. We are especially proud of the Museum’s unwavering commitment in outreach to children through multiple creative school programs and cultural experiences. Anchoring these efforts is the The Clay Studio at the Pancoe Education Center, built in 2003.
Now, more than ever, this Museum is dependent upon your support. We urge you to give financially through our year-end appeal. Your contribution is the greatest investment you can make in the cultural vitality of our community! Please join or renew your membership today and be a part of the Cameron Art Museum’s community.
