CLASS: Hand and Wheel Pottery Techniques
Mondays and Wednesdays
Class runs for 8 weeks (16 sessions)
Through lecture and demonstration, Hiroshi Sueyoshi teaches participants hand building, wheel throwing, glazing, and finishing techniques. Open to all skill levels, ages 16+ $250. To register, please call 910-395-5999 ext. 1000. Class size is limited.


ILLUSTRATED LECTURE: John W. Coffey 05-18-2008 through 05-18-2008  

John Coffey presents “Worshipful Art: The Judaic Art Collection of the North Carolina Museum of Art” a lecture on the importance of the ceremonial objects, held in conjunction with the exhibition Art and Social Conscience: HOLOCAUST currently on view. Coffey is the Deputy Director for Art and Curator of American and Modern Art at NCMA.

Program admission is by donation.


JAZZ with the Winard Harper Sextet 05-18-2008 through 05-18-2008  

Internationally renowned drummer and balafon virtuoso, Winard Harper, combines world-influence and the spirit of jazz legends such as Art Blakey on jazz standards and hard bob favorites.
